Reny's is open today! These pictures are from a couple days ago, so the scaffolding is all down, the signs are all up, and all systems are go. I look forward to having a Maine adventure here sometime soon.
Oh, I've been. But it will be nice to have one right downtown within 5 a five minute walk of where I reside. As many have pointed out before, downtown Portland lacks many non-tourist oriented retail spaces. For example, if you want a new pair of jeans, your options in Portland are quite limited (aside from the excellent vintage shops and a couple high-end places).
good point about non-tourist shops on the Peninsula. Im younger (25) but I barely remember a General Store @ Monument Square. Can anyone help me out with the details of this place?
Thanks for the comment, Anonymous. I think you are thinking of the Surplus store where the Public Market House currently is. I was also a youngin' when it closed and I don't recall ever going inside the place.
Have you never been to Reny's?
