Autumn Gothic
A view of the John J. Brown House, a.k.a. "The Gothic House" at 387 Spring Street. Pretty cool that this whole building was moved here from its original spot where the Holiday Inn currently is.

Bug Light Park vs. Munjoy Hill
A stroll around Bug Light Park with Munjoy Hill in the near distance. The compression is from using a 70-300mm lens all zoomed in. It's one of my favorite lenses because of the interesting perspectives you can find.

Western Cemetery, Oct. 2019
Cemeteries always look good this time of year. Here are a few from the Western Cemetery in Portland last weekend.

West End Color from the Bridge
Fall colors kicking into gear in the West End. Due to the variety of trees in the city, pretty much every other tree changes color at a different time. So getting interesting colors on multiple trees is always a nice challenge.

Main St., Camden
A view of Camden's Main Street at twilight. Would have done a more creative long exposure shot if I had a tripod on me.

Going to stick with the Midcoast photos for a bit. Here's one from Rockland Breakwater Light. I added a Midcoast gallery on my website here if you're interested.

Mural Exchange
The final form of the new mural in Tommy's Park, by local artist Will Sears. I think it looks pretty slick in person.

Landmarked
If you haven't been to the Portland Observatory in a while, you should go in and check out their new displays. You can even spot a few of my photos in there! Always happy to work with Greater Portland Landmarks.

Some Old, Some New
Where the narrow gauge railroad tracks end on Thames Street. This area has evolved a lot - from a railyard (for full size trains), to empty dirt lots, to its current form which will also evolve in the future.

A great spot to watch the sunset during last night's "Summer Sunsets at the Point" at Thompson's Point. Also a great spot to dine at all the local food trucks.
