I took a leisurely bike ride out to Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth on this unseasonably warm first day of April. So glad it's finally spring!

I Saw the Light

Going not too far back for this Thursday Throwback. This shot of the little-known "Portland Head Light" is from October.

That's a Paddlin'

Saw some paddle boarders heading out from Two Lights in Cape Elizabeth this afternoon.  It looks pretty calm in this picture but there were some impressive waves coming in.

Portland Head Light - Looking Down

Looking straight down from the top of the iconic Portland Head Light. The lighthouse was first lit in 1791, making it the state's oldest.

I don't post photos from outside of Portland too often, but I'll make an exception for some photos from the top of the historic Portland Head Light. After a pretty easy stroll up the spiral staircase, you are treated to this view when stepping outside.

Next Ship Out of Town

One of Eimskip's container ships departing Portland harbor last weekend, viewed from Fort Williams in Cape Elizabeth. In the distance is Ram Island Ledge Light.

On the Road: Cape Elizabeth
