And as I do at the end of each year, I like to bring back a photo from each month to share as a way of reminding everyone that the archives of this blog are available at anytime (and full of lots of photos that I am proud of).

Goodbye 2013
Time to say goodbye to another year. 2013 was a photogenic year, perhaps the most photogenic year to date. I offer my heartfelt thank you to everyone who has visited my blog (or Official Photography Website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flickr, Pinterest, etc.) and helped support me with "likes" or kind comments. And an extra thanks to any person or organization that supported me by purchasing my photos or calendar over the past year.

Westin Portland Harborview Hotel
The old Eastland Hotel re-opened earlier this month as the Westin Portland Harborview Hotel. Here are a few photos of the interior and exterior after it's $50 million renovation. I have yet to get to the renovated "Top of the East" lounge but will have to sneak up there for photos someday.

First Snow
Portland received just over a foot of snow today according to my sources (local meteorologists). As it was not a weekday today I was able to wander around during the the day and get photos of the fresh snow and the quiet streets. Here are two shots from Exchange Street.

Road Salt
Looks like the city's supply of salt is ready for the first big snowstorm of the season, due to start any minute now:
Stay tuned for some snow-themed photos tomorrow. I still have a lot of photos from the last few months that need to be shared also, so expect a mix of snowy and non-snowy photos over the next few weeks.

Holiday Art Walk 2013
A view of this evening's popular First Friday / Holiday Art Walk event in which a portion of Congress Street was closed off for pedestrians only. It was great to see so many people out and about enjoying the city on what turned out to be a relatively warm and rain-free evening.
