I've long appreciated how this little house (which looks really nice after its renovation) on Avon Street lines up between these other buildings on State Street.

Nice to see the flower baskets back up on Free Street. This shot was taken from up on the steps of the Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine.

Center Street Noir
Friday evening was foggy in general, and I was delighted to see that one of the steam pipes on Center Street was running on full blast. I only had to wait a few seconds for a person to walk through this cool scene.

A quiet scene outside of the new restaurant, Dutch's, at 28 Preble Street. This photo fits in with my odd hobby of photographing bicycles and restaurants with similar color schemes.

McIntyre Park
Looks like we got a solid inch of snow last night. It's supposed to be in the 50's and 60's the next several days, so at least it will melt quickly. In the meantime, here's another snow photo from this past winter. This is from McIntyre Park, a small city park on Taylor Street in the West End.

Back on the Streets
I always find busy sidewalks to be a good sign that spring and summer is on the way. As someone who lives downtown, you really notice the difference after several months of very quiet (and less photogenic) sidewalks. Pictured below is a flock of people during the April First Friday Art Walk.
