One of the railroad trestles over St. John Street. This is on the old Union Branch Corridor which is slated to connect Forest Avenue to this side of town via a mixed-use pathway someday.

Better Know a Trail: Capisic Pond Park

Welcome to the first of thirty installments of Better Know a Trail. The number thirty is based on the 30 trails that Portland Trails has listed on their website. The first stop is Capisic Pond Park, also known as Capisic Brook Trail. I didn't take any photos of the pond itself, you can check it out in person to get the whole picture. The trail is located between Capisic Street and Brighton Avenue and the trail is a leisurely 0.5 miles long. It's a nice place for bird watching or just getting out for a quick walk.
