Before and After: JFK on Park Avenue

  3. I was looking at this photo and realized, that's right Park Avenue shown here was two-way. For a good reason too. Park Avenue ran in a straight line to the intersection of Oxford Street, Oxford ran all the way to Washington Avenue and maybe beyond. At one time most city activity was centered around the India Street area, this Park Avenue/Oxford Street route gave an alternate, maybe the main route to the hub of the city's activity.

  4. That's right. And I also remember Oxford Street had the trolley cars running on it.
