Reconstruction

It's always nice to see an old building like this being renovated, as opposed to torn down.

  1. There are some tough architectural embellishments to simulate. It would be fun to see an "after" photo to see how they did.

  2. Is that just below Longfellow square on State Street? Haven't they been at that renovation for some time? Over a year???

  3. Thanks for the comments! Correct, this is on State Street near Longfellow Square. They gutted-out the building quite some time ago and have begun working on the exterior somewhat recently and have been busy. Maybe they want to get it closed up before it snows? I will be sure to get some 'after' photos of it.

    While herding Cub Scouts last Thursday for the Veteran's Day Parade, I thought I saw a forklift in front of this location - the kind they used to lift drywall up to the second floor. Perhaps they are moving ahead with the renovations.
