Portland's copy of The Maine Lobsterman Statue sits at the corner of Middle and Temple Streets in the Old Port. As noted in this article from a few years ago, the original statue was made for the 1939 in New York and there three replicas were eventually made: This one in Portland, one on Bailey Island, and one way down in Washington D.C.
Nice lighting, and composition with the family on the right and the man engrossed in his cell phone on the left.
ReplyDeleteThanks, John! I didn't even notice the man on the left until I looked at the photo on my computer. I think he adds to the interestingness of the photo in a way.
