Mailboat Run

More photos from the Casco Bay Lines mailboat run. I took the trip as part of a recent Maine Photography Flickr Group Meetup. This year-round cruise departs twice daily and is described as such on the CBL website:

"An integral part of our island communities, the Mailboat is a true working boat carrying passengers, mail and freight to the islands of Casco Bay—Little Diamond, Great Diamond, Long, Cliff and Chebeague. As the longest-operating service of its kind, this tour is a wonderful way to see the sights of the Bay."

Arriving back in Portland for the sunset.

Ropes

Departing Portland. You can see Bug Light and Portland Headlight in the distance.
I have a bunch more photos form the cruise that I will share soon. Also, today is election day so vote! If you live in Portland, here is some info about where to go. I submitted my absentee ballot last week and look forward to seeing the outcome of the mayoral election in addition to the state referendums.
