I've heard that Portland is often quite sunny during the winter except when it is snowing...but it sounds like it might be a wee bit gray in Maine right now? I'm from Ohio but my wife is from Maine and we always kick around the idea of moving to the Portland area.

From the West End, on Gray St. to be exact. Almost has a European flair to it I think.
