Looking into the Past: Stilts on Congress

The old photo comes from the Portland Maine Encyclopedia of  the 1960's, 70' & 80's Facebook group. This tall man used to be spotted around town, I presume during events such as the Old Port Festival. The  location of this photo is on Congress Street, across from the Maine College of Art. Mechanic's Hall is the building on the right.

  3. Thanks for the comments Rachel and Edita. These photos are fun to find and take, and I'm glad people find them interesting.

Also, I'm glad that I was apparently able to unite an anonymous father and his anonymous son with this photo. If anyone knows the name of the stilt man, I'd be happy to post that.
