Flashback: Congress Street Blizzard, Feb. 2013

It's Thursday so here is a photo from February 2013, taken on a day much like today. It's pretty fun exploring the city when it's quiet enough to walk down Congress Street without impeding any traffic.

Congress Street Birdhouse

A nice looking birdhouse on Congress Street in the Munjoy Hill neighborhood. If I were a bird I'd flock to this neighborhood, but would prefer a home that's not at ground level.

At the Museum

Next time you check out the refreshed Portland Museum of Art, stop by this interactive display in the McLellan House part of the museum. I took a bunch of photos for the museum last fall and several of them are incorporated into this piece which shares the history of the museum's home.

Amethyst Lot, January 2017

A present-day view of the Amethyst Lot on the Eastern Waterfront. This former industrial area is owned by the city and may someday blossom into a beautiful park. I'll be sure to document the progress once things start happening here.
