An apple ready for picking in the orchard off of North Street. The trees have been planted over the years by classes at the East End School. You can read more about their effort here. 

Portland Head Light - Looking Down

Looking straight down from the top of the iconic Portland Head Light. The lighthouse was first lit in 1791, making it the state's oldest.

I don't post photos from outside of Portland too often, but I'll make an exception for some photos from the top of the historic Portland Head Light. After a pretty easy stroll up the spiral staircase, you are treated to this view when stepping outside.

Ford's Corner

The John Ford statue sitting at the corner of Pleasant & York Streets. Ford was a renowned film director who grew up in Portland in the early 20th century.
