The Pleasant End of Fore Street

An idyllic view down Pleasant Street. On the left is the fine dining restaurant named Artemisia. Their website has the tagline "The Pleasant End of Fore Street," a reference to their street address (Fore Street turns into Pleasant Street after it hits Center Street).

Spring is Here Again

Up Above Exchange Street

A unique view looking down Exchange Street from the City Hall clock tower this morning. The top of City Hall was one of 12 "secret spots" around town as part of the Magical History Tour by the Maine Historical Society. You may notice the sign for the soon-to-open Press Hotel in this photo as well. Check out this page on their site, where I am profiled as a Portlander of note.

A shot from beyond the peninsula yesterday, one of the warmest days of the year so far. This is on Deering Avenue, looking towards Woodfords Corner.

I'm not sure if all these signs are references to Portland native Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, but I'm going to assume they are.

Love Spring

The message on the Time & Temperature building is currently promoting a fundraising drive for the Maine Public Broadcasting Network, but the message of Love also goes well with these blossoms on Temple Street.
