As I announced in
my post on September 1st, I have tallied up the number of unique visitors to Portland Daily Photo during the month and have made a donation to a local charity. The charity of my choosing was
Preble Street, a well known local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose m
ission is "...to provide accessible barrier-free services to empower people experiencing problems with homelessness, housing, hunger, and poverty, and to advocate for solutions to these problems." The total number of unique visitors for September 2011 to this site, according to my account at statcounter.com, was:
5,216!
I decided to round up to the nearest dollar for my donation. Here is a copy of my receipt:
If you visited this blog last month, thanks! This was a pretty simple way do a little good in the Portland community. Stay tuned for future fundraisers of this nature. I encourage everyone to get involved in some way in supporting a good cause, whether it be volunteering their time or through a cash donation.
