Summer Days, Drifting Away

A couple more photos from the old railroad trestle on the East End.

  1. You have a great eye for composition, but, sometimes, it looks like the photos are over-processed.

At first, I thought it was my monitor calibration, but so many of your photos look fine that the ones that have been pushed too far really stand out.

Again, though, really great photography. Thanks for sharing it with us.

  2. Thanks for the constructive comment, anonymous. You have a valid point about the over-processing of some images. I spend a lot of time playing with certain photos in photoshop mostly for my own entertainment, even though no amount of post-processing can fix a lousy photo. It's very true that it isn't pleasing to the eye when I post an unedited photo (just resized, fixed the levels and the sharpness) right next one where I go all-out with editing. This is something I will keep in mind going forward. For what it's worth, the photos I have for sale at www.coreytempletonphotography.com are much more natural looking and seem to go well together, I think.
