Seasons of Portland: Tommy's Park

Another summer/winter combo from Tommy's Park in the Old Port. On the left is August 2016 and on the right is December 2013. These shots are fun for me to do and I am currently motivated by the upcoming changing of the seasons.

Heavy Metal Bird

Had a chance to stroll through the Portland Fine Craft Show (as well as the Sidewalk Art Festival further down the street) last weekend. This bird sculpture by Chris Williams was stopping for a water break along Congress Street.

Stowe, Vermont Sunrise

I'm back from a nice vacation out to Vermont, the "Green Mountain State." Vermont is relatively close to Maine, but far enough away that it's takes some planning to get over there. I enjoyed seeing the sights around Stowe, Montpelier, and Burlington and every in between. I'll post some more photos from the trip as well. This sunrise shot is from the last day there.

Ship Shape

A closeup of the ship-shaped weathervane atop Portland's City Hall. According to this source, it was installed in 1914 and "is fashioned after a 15th century sailing ship."
