Looking into the Past: West on Congress

I don't know if anyone here visits my flickr regularly (and vice versa), but this has been my most popular shot over there. Enjoy! I look forward to doing more of these photos once the leaves start appearing on the trees and it becomes warm enough to wander around without a jacket on.

  1. I didn't know you had a Flickr page. You should do a link on your blog site like I have. I like this idea of matching old postcards to present day settings. Don't see why having to wear a jacket should stop you taking pictures. I take photos in all weathers!

  2. Very well done. I've seen similar things done before and appreciate how hard it must have been to hold the post card and shoot the picture at the same time.

  3. That is just great! I love old postcards but have never thought of doing something like this. Nifty! I'm looking forward to the postcard barn at Brimfield next month to add to my collection.

Just stumbled upon your blog and having fun making my way through it. I lived for a little bit in Portland in the late 70s - it's changed a lot!
